Pain Relief For All - Laser Therapy: Drug-Free, Surgery-Free, Pain Relief

Laser Therapy - NEW!

Lasers are not just for sci-fi movies or playing high-tech tag anymore. Laser therapy is an innovative, non-invasive treatment that can speed up the body's natural healing process and relieve pain. “Laser” is an acronym for "light amplification of stimulated emission of radiation." Your veterinarian can use laser therapy along with or in place of medication to manage your pets' pain and inflammation, and to promote wound healing.

Spays & Neuters

Spays & Neuters

We provide routine spays and neuters as well as other surgical services. At Hespeler Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on our expertise in anesthesia and pain management. Our hospital has state-of-the-art anesthetic monitoring equipment and protocols not found at your average vet clinic. In addition, making sure your pet does not suffer unnecessary pain is very important to us. When you choose a surgeon for your pet, please be aware that a spay at clinic A is not necessarily the same as a spay at clinic B.

Wellness Care & Immunization

Wellness Care & Immunization

At Hespeler Animal Hospital, we strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program catered to your pet’s lifestyle and risk of infectious disease; spay and neuter package; and screening blood tests for all life stages.

Dental Care

Dental Care

Dental disease hurts! Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s teeth and general health. We provide dental care to allow your pet to live a healthier and more comfortable life. We use hand- and ultrasonic equipment to clean each tooth thoroughly – above and below the gum line. Our dental technicians then polish your pet’s teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup.

Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine

We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic Surgery; Endocrinology; among others.

Microchipping

Microchipping

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer microchips to increase the chances of a safe recovery. We can “chip” your pet either at time of a Wellness Exam or when your pet is asleep under anesthesia for an elective surgery such as a spay or neuter.

Nutritional Counseling

Nutritional Counseling

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet, to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

Bathing

Bathing

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trim and ear cleaning. By the way, we bath cats too!

Behavioral Medicine

Behavioral Medicine

Illness doesn’t always have a physical cause. Our veterinarians can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for you. If necessary, we can refer you to a veterinary specialist or trainer.

Pharmacy

Pharmacy

We stock a wide range of veterinary medications, including antibiotics, ear and eye drops, anti-inflammatory and pain medication.

Hospice / Euthanasia

Hospice / Euthanasia

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is hard to do. We work with clients to make the process as easy as possible for the owner, and to ensure the pet’s comfort and dignity. Services include euthanasia and cremation.

Pain Management

Pain Management

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care. We provide pre-emptive (pre-op) pain medications, local nerve blocks (local anesthesia), peri-operative intravenous constant rate infusions, and post-op oral medications. We also prescribe medication for pets with chronic pain due to conditions such as cancer or arthritis.

Radiology

Radiology

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We have an on-site X-ray machine. We can often take radiographs during a consultation appointment without having to admit the patient, minimizing any stress to your pet.

Specialists

Specialists

Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. We can arrange to have specialists come to our practice for consultations, or refer you to a specialty practice in the area.
